Southern Nationals squading/teams.

Post by Ghostofwar »

So, after a long break from silhouette, I am back in the game. Since it is also the absolute last year for Southern Nationals as we know it, I decided to say to hell with work and make the drive out to Winnsboro. I was thinking about maybe joining a squad but I don't know if any of the shooters from this area are going. So, if anyone needs a teammate, let me know. I'm AAA in both classes and average between 25-30.

Also, I forget, so refresh my memory, are there awards for teams in each class or is it just one overall team award? I'm not worried about winning anything, I'm just going for the fun of going, but I was just wondering.

Lastly, I can't remember if there are many trees in the tent/sitting area to string up a hammock. I love my hammock.

The only team event at the Southern Nationals is the Coon Ass Team Shoot on Friday evening. It consists of 4-person teams and each team member shoots 10 shots at an animal. The scores are added together to give each team a 40 -shot score and the team with the highest score wins. Any shooter classified lower than Master receives a handicap as follows: AAA shooters get one point added to their score, AA - 2 points, A - 3 points, B - 4 points.

Of course, we will have normal squadding for the matches as long as you get your squadding requests in before too late.
