Az State Small Bore Match

Post by Jim Beckley »

The Arizona State Small Bore matches will be at the Tucson Rifle Club on the 16th and 17th of May this year. When the programs become available we are asking if you are not sure if you are going to make it or not to fill out a registration form and send it in, you can pay up when you get to the range or if you decide to send your funds and can't make it you will get a full refund. It can get a little windy at this location so plan A is to tape the animals down if the wind gets so that it is blowing the animals down. Plan B is to drag out the heavy animals and paint them between relays, if there is a reasonable mark on them the shooter will get credit for a hit. A few years ago I rang a total of six rams and was basically told tuff shit. It's not going to be that way this year! We want everyone to come and first be safe, have fun and enjoy the match.

And..................... we will have new 3 tier stands. We will be able to put 24 on the line at one time for a 60 shot match. We are talking about stretching that to 32.

Been there -

Nice range - cranky range owners...will make you "sign-in" every day and if they can't read your signature that'll come and get you and make you sign again.

But, nice range and good time of the year to shoot there.

If they don't feed you - you'll want to bring lunch with you - and its a half hour drive back toward Tucson to the McDonalds.

3 points has Cindie Lou's restraunt which isn't too bad and the Ace store has pizza and sandwiches. You are right, Randy can be a little grumpy at times. Just be grumpy back at him and life is good. :-bd

Mary are you going to make it out to Tucson this year? I'd be tickled to squad with you and Byron if you're going to make it out to the desert.

I'll have to introduce you to Sonoran hot dogs. They are the bomb!

Go Seahawks! :ymcowboy:

Sonoran Hot Dogs are the best food to come out of Southern Arizona. You need to develop a bit of a forward lean to eat them properly (or learn to wear the drippings with pride).

Bigfoot,
Work situation is only slightly better, still essentially unemployed (underemployed is a better term) so travel will be limited. As for squadding with you guys, if I get there I'll let you know! As for the Sonny hot dog, well as long as there is no egg, corn, wheat and soy products in them then fine, I'll try them!
Grenz, I knew about the Mexican hunting guide at least a year before, I can tell my share of stories, thank goodness I was in this country and in control of the situation, unlike the WA guys.

Some real nice products are starting to come in. Everyone will receive a regular door prize, and then their names will be placed back into the hat for a chance to win a bigger gift. No need to purchase any tickets for a chance to win anything, it will be given away to a competitor!
