Tacoma's January NRA Match Results

Post by mordecai »

The 1st Sat and 2nd Sunday of each month, Tacoma Sportsman's Club has a smallbore silhouette rifle match. Today's Sunday NRA match was the first NRA match of the year. We had to add a relay to squeeze the more than 25+ shooters onto the score sheets. A number of shooters have been treating us extra-special and brought us more delicious food. It's becoming quite the banquet and we ate like kings, although they report that it is simply a ploy to slow the rest of us down via our stomaches.

Here are the results:

Standard Rifle

Dave I. [57] Matchwinner
Eric B. [54] 1st Master
Dennis M. [51] 2nd Master

Mordecai [48] 1st AAA
Carl D. [47] 2nd AAA
Randy P. [45] 3rd AAA

Dale H. [29] 1st AA

Jim H. [32] 1st A/B

Hunter Rifle

Dave I. [54] Matchwinner
Eric B. [51] 1st Master
Carl D. [45] 2nd Master

Mordecai [38] 1st AAA
Shawn Z. [38] 2nd AAA
Byron M. [38] 3rd AAA

Harry R. [28] 1st AA/A/B
Larry T. [19] 2nd AA/A/B

I took three relays to allow you to digest in between. I don't think my elbow hit my hip after 10 o'clock. MMMMMM Salmon loaf!

I wanted to be there for the Sunday match, but it was the first decently warm sunny day in what seemed like years. I just had to take the bike out for a ride... and another. I did figure out a good system for hauling my match stuff on it, though, so I can ride it down to the matches at Tacoma Sportsmen Club without having to try to patch all my ammo and stuff in the magazine pouches on the gun case and have all that weight on my back. I can even get my 30-30 in that case and go up north to shoot the full-size Cowboy Rifle match. :)

My elbow has never hit my hip... :)

And if it ever did, it would probably never come off! :D
