Winnsboro... Best Western... WARNING...

A friend recently told me he called the Best Western in Winnie to give them his updated CC info since it had expired. While on the phone he was told his confirmation number was worthless and they had no reservation for him. He made the reservation last year during the 2007 match.

I also called last year the weekend of the match and reserved a room for this years event. They took my CC info and gave me a confirmation number for my reservation.

Well after my friend told me about his issue I decided I should probably call to make sure my Room is still confirmed. Well I called and its not, they say they have no record of it and that all the rooms are full.

So if you have what you think is a reservation to the Best Western in Winnie for this year you might want to call and make sure it really exists. Had I not called I would have just shown up expecting to have my room.

They gave me a Cust. Ref # for whatever thats worth since my confirmation number was only good for wiping my ass with. They said they will get back to me next week but I don't know what they plan to do if all the rooms are booked.

What a week for NO Customer service. Booked my flight to Jacksonville on American after a major ordeal trying to use gift certificates. I will NEVER fly with them again after this trip. They don't even have a Customer Service Phone number and I think thats says it all.

I already got my flight booked with American since I had some gift certificates otherwise I would never use them nor recommend them. Jerry T. is going to take my rifle to the match for me to spare me the hassle and risk of flying with it.

Yeah the challenge is finding someone working the front desk that is smart enough to know whats need to happen to book a room. When you are given confirmation number a YEAR in advance you should be able to feel confident some half wit hasn't given it away to someone else. Such is not the case in this world of dumbass people we live in today.

Its all they do, rent rooms, yet they can screw even that up. #$@&^%* Amazing.

Anyway just wanted to warn anyone with a reservation to check for sure.

Hope they don't screw up the mexican restaurant in the Best Western.......Screwing up room reservations is one thing, but mess with the food?? Surely not........

Now you know why Winnsboro Gun Club quit worrying with the rooms at any of the motels. The Best Western changes personnel like underwear!
