Approved Smallbore Silhouette Matches
Hello all fellow shooters!
Asheville Rifle & Pistol Club in Asheville, NC is pleased to announce this year's Monthly Matches!!!
They are NRA approved and will follow the current rule book. They will be on the 2nd Saturday of each month March - December. Registration time is 10:00am with the Smallbore Rifle match beginning at 11:00. After the first match we take a Lunch break (don't forget to bring something to eat/drink) then shoot the Hunter Rifle match. Cost of each match is $5 for ARPC Members, Sr & Jr shooters - all others $7.50 per match. We will award approximately 50% of the match fees to Match and Class winners! That should help offset higher gas costs!
We can handle 16 shooters per relay, so come on out and enjoy our beautiful scenery in the Mountains of Western North Carolina!! Hope to see you there!
If you can swing a little more time in the mountains, Piedmont Gun Club (48 miles East) will hold it's matches on the 1st Saturday. So come on up and enjoy both competitions!
The specific Dates for ARPC are:
March - 10
April - 14
May - 12
June - 9
July - 14 (Summer high temps sometimes reach 88 or 89 -- man that's hot!!)
August - 11
September - 8 (fall is Spectacular in the Mountians!)
October - 13 (ditto)
November - 10
December - 8 (could see some snow!)

Re: Approved Smallbore Silhouette Matches
We had a good turn out for our 1st Match of the Year in Asheville!
The weather cooperated with cool in the morning and warmer in the afternoon, with only an occasional light breeze!
We had 14 shooters in total, including 5 BRAND NEW SHOOTERS!
Top Scores in both matches were turned in by David Dyer - 30/40 & 31/40.
We even had an A Class shooter get 10-in-a-row in Standard Rifle Rams!!!
This was his first 10, first leg of any Grand Slam and he totaled 27 for the match - almost a AAA score!!!
We give back some of the entry money as awards for Match and Class winners, so come on out and shoot with us - you just might win back some money for gas!!
