Anschutz 1451 D KL .22 lr need info

iam in the market for a good silhouette gun for my son he is 15 years old it is between the Anschutz 1451 D KL .22 lr and the kimber svt witch is better we are new to the sport any help would be good

I don't believe that you can go wrong with an Anschutz rifle.

Have owned both 64 MS which I believe is the same action as the 1451 and a Kimber Sporter. It's a close call but would go for the Anschutz today. Advantage to Anschutz would be the barrel and trigger. Re-Sale with the Anschutz is going to be good too.

ok thanks i found a kimber hunter for 700.00 what problems do they have our any i have a kimber 84m in 7mm08 and love it what can the hunter do at 50 yards our 100 yards we are new to this sport and my kids love it we had are first match with the 4h club in texas and we are set for my three kids to keep shooting this sport so looking to get them something better than the marlin they are shooting now it is the new xt model and iam not happy with it at all

I have a Kimber 82, and have two friends with a Kimber Hunter and Super America. Anschutz blows them away. All 3 Kimbers with top notch ammo will shot at best .5 in groups at 50 and we have tried everything. Both of them sent them back at one point and one ended up having his rebarreled with an Lilja, but cost him another $600 to do it and I still can't say it will out shoot an Anschutz. I know there are good Kimbers out there, but our CZ 452's will also out shoot the Kimbers.

My daughter shoots an Anschutz 1451 for her 4H position matches. The 1451 is definitely not the same action/trigger as a 64. Once she grows a bit, I'm going to try to find a 64 to cut down for her.

I can't help with the question, but that gun is high on my wishlist, an 84M in either .308 or 7mm-08. I recently bought a new 84L in .25-06 and loving it.

My Old Oregon 82 Kimber is a nice rifle much more attractive than any Anschutz. But it won't shoot with the two Anschutz I have owned, 64 MS and 54 Super match. It's the barrel mostly and trigger, although the Kimber I have has a very good hunter weight trigger.

Last spring I fell into a large lot of RWS R 50 at a good price, Working backward from most people bought it and tested in the Anschutz 54 Kimber 82 a CPA Schuetzen single shot with Douglas barrel All the rifles had 16 or 20 power scopes. It was a toss up between The Anschutz and the CPA with the Kimber far behind

Somebody Else's Kimber may do better than mine.
