Evelio Riflesmith
I wanted to take a minute a give a shout out and a big thanks to Evelio McDonald at Evelio Silhouette Riflesmith's. I e-mailed a question to him over the weekend concerning trigger springs for my Rem 581S to see if a lighter spring was offered. His reply was PROMPT and to the point with really sage advice regarding procedure and safety requirements. This truly shows the commitment of all who enjoy our challenging sport. My hat's off to you Evelio and may your business continue to flourish which I know that it will as demonstrated by your most welcome advice.
Thanks, Dave.....Deo Vindice

Guys come on you know I have spent enough to keep him supplied with wiskey. I think that cost more than the lanscaping and a pool!

Re: Evelio Riflesmith
Not here to steal away the spotlight from Evelio, just praise for another rifle building craftsman.
While in AZ last week for HP one of our guys had some trouble with his new custom action 6.5x47 rifle. The Sako style extractor did not have the correct angle on it to snap over the case rim. The cases were getting torn up rims and the bolt was hard to close. It was mid afternoon on Friday and he was ready to abandon using the gun for the match. A tip from an AZ shooter led to a call to Dave Arnberger at McMillan. He understood the problem and knew how to correct it. Our guy managed to get to McMillan's shop with out getting a speeding ticket.
Dave put the extractor in his lathe, re cut the correct angle and got it working perfectly. Our guy was back at the range in less than 90 minutes with a big sigh of relief. Dave is a regular HP shooter but had to miss the state HP due to his kids had a sports event he wanted to attend. He understood our guys dilemma and stepped up quickly to help.
Hats off to Dave, Evelio and all the craftsmen that make us our nice toys.

Re: Evelio Riflesmith
I must say I am very happy with the HP rifle Evelio built up for me. The thing just flat shoots. Now if I can just shoot it up to its potential. Finley thought it shot pretty good as well when he broke a clay pigeon sitting on the Turkey berm on his 1st shot with the rifle offhand! I missed it by a couple inches. Amazing how you can come so close to something so small and yet still miss the Turkeys themselves. Really though I could not be happier at this time with the rig and Evelio's communication and help throughout the entire process.
