Hard Case?

Post by DavidABQ »

I have a $30 Plano hard case with really isn't that hard and now with my new scope and those tall windage adjuster I am concerned about damaging my new Leupold scope. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of padding between the adjustment knob and case body.

What do most of everyone here use to carry their rifle?

It will be used primarily to just haul my rifle to and from the range.

Here is a picture of my rig and cheap gun case.

I would suggest a Pelican or their is one that looks just like one, but can't remember the name. The reason for my suggestion is that a friend of mine,Gary Malmberg uses them. He just got in a wreck coming home from Kamaloops. He went off a 40' enbankment and flipped endow 2 times. And from what I have heard the rifles lived, and so did Gary. So if you want to protect them, thats what I would buy.

SKB is the other hard plastic case. Kalispel has a hard aluminium case you may be able to find some through Creedmore still.
