Do they understand that we're watching, and that continuously tightening gun laws confirms our fears and makes us more determined to oppose all gun laws? I might have tolerated something before, but absolutely not now. Enforce existing laws, reinstate the laid off school counselors and community mental health workers, and encourage firearms safety training before you start this nonsense. Undo the damage you've done before picking on me.

Ok this is just retarded (oops, sorry for the political incorrectness there).

I'm just glad that Washington State is a little more on the stick with this. We're one of many states that have introduced bills stating that any new gun control law handed down in DC will not be enforced within our states borders.

So I think it will be interesting in ten years to look at states like California's crime stats versus places that haven't gone the knee jerk reaction route. I have a number of law enforcement friends in my social circle that be they liberal or conservative (yes folks in Seattle most cops are blue in more than one way) are opposed to this gun control horse pucky. Almost to a man (and a woman) they express the fact that cops are there to write after action reports and a responsible and trained cpl holder is a "a good citizen".

Boys our Constitution follows 'natural law' that is, man is free and has inalienable rights because God was the soursce. The positivist view says man has only the rights government gives him. So to get this country to that view a) eliminate God from social thought b) restrict or limit speech (i.e. movies are bad, talk radio, etc0...assuring that the right message gets out c) disarm the populace assuring their reliance on government (along with their health care)......then my friends we lose more than our guns and our game  Wait till you hear the State of the Union address!!!! :(

In NY I doubt many gun owners will register anything or "turn in" / convert magazines that hold more than 7 rds. Ammunition will be brought in from trips to other states

Hopefully voters will not forget and we will get rid of every politician that supports gun control. I liked my congressman. He's been to our club, explained his vote against universal concealed carry, now he supports an AWB. I will not vote for him again

GTKF....are you and yours doing OK after Sandy? Sadly these errant politicians are making criminals out of law-abiding citizens. The best analogy I've heard is that their AWB is like making it harder for a sober person to get a car to prevent drunk driving  Good luck to you and everybody up in Staten Island
Mark my words...next on their list are heavy barreled rifles..you know what they will call 'sniper rifles'...like your silhouette rifle

Snake, Based on some of the comments I've heard from the politicians I think their next big push is hand guns, then the rest. In reality they could make a good case for it as we all know AR's are used less then 1% in the illegal activity and the media is setting the stage for hand guns. Seeing their F&F failed and they were exposed they are pushing hard to ban everything.

Surprising hand guns seem to have lost prominence with the liberal agenda....magazines are all the rage.... and firearms that are 'military like'.....AR's and sniper rifles (Calif. already bans the Barrett 50). The only real answer is to convert as many non shooters into shooters as possible ;) Of the dozen or so i have taken out to the range...everyone has changed their outlook on firearms

I saw where Washington State had some true American Patriot Liberals pushing a bill that would allow you to keep your AR15 if you already owned it before they ban them. You just have to let the Sheriff come in your home anytime he wants up to one time a year to check and see what you are up to. Of course they said that was a mistake and would be changed after people pointed out the blatant violation of rights that would then incur. Yet many politicians had signed on to the bill and when asked why they agreed to such stupidity they all said they hadn't actually READ THE DAMN BILL, all 8 pages of it! What is it with Liberals and not reading bills? They tell us they are the most intelligent and educated of the two parties yet it is plain as day they can't read, have no clue how to actually do MATH much less understand Economics! Not to mention I pass several "urban" areas on my way around town and to work etc where they have nothing but 100% liberals hanging out waiting on the gubermint cheese. They don't strike me as the high level intellectuals for some reason. But they must be, they vote Democrat right
