Southern Nationals

Post by duckgumbo »

I have gotten a lot of calls regarding the dates for the 2008 Southern Nationals and the dates are June 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8, 2008.

Regarding hotel and motel rooms, I will NOT worry with making ANY room reservations so I suggest that if you have a room in Winnsboro for this year, to call and verify your room. It is my understanding that all reservations from last year and this year will have first shot at the rooms for 2008.

For future reference, the Southern Nationals will be held the first full weekend of June each year.

Bob259,

You can come by yourself. I'll grant you special dispensation to cross the Mason Dixon line if you need it.. If you even remotely like to shoot silhouetes and like the folks you that shoot them you owe it to yourself to come to Winnie. And no, I have no financial interest in promoting the Winnsboro match, it's just about as much fun that you can have with your clothes on..........

Thanks for the kind words Kitty.

We just received this year's special ditty bags. We are pulling out all stops to out-do the past matches. I do not know what we will do for 2008, but knowing Jerry and our bunch, we will make it better somehow!

As mentioned previously, we have insulated the roof of the firing line. That should help for heat and noise.

I am sure that the BS is already started with Limey and Dawg, so everyone be prepared and bring hip boots!

Thanks Kitty!!! Still hoping to get someone to go, but not looking good. If I get down there by myself and may forget my way home. :P We're a little rusty up here, our first match isn't till the 16th of May, but am considering driving down by myself, that all depends now if I can get the time off from work. Unfornuately I have no Bling yet either... lol

Dark beer? There was dark beer?! Why didn't someone tell me!

I'm sure Kitty was so focused on protecting Kolby and Hot Mama the details of which coast he was on were just unimportant...

Kitty was testing the local brew to make sure it was fit for Hot Mama. I'm afraid that she is just way too fast for him to try to keep up with as far as protecting her. As I understand it she was picking up some guy at the airport when Kitty caught up and tried to protect her the gentlman offered to sit on Kitty and squish him. Kolby had throw in some distractions and so John was not harmed but it was fixin to get nasty.

Just thinking it through, Hot Mama can pretty well take care of herself. Which leaves us with Kitty, a great white and dark beer mysteriously gathered on the Atlantic coast of Washington state. This is beginning to sound like an X-Files episode...

From what I understand the poor shark got a mouthful of gas as Kitty was running towards the shore, so no telling he could be a flying shark...
