I have a Ruger American that I bought to try this game. Found a used Simmons 24x scope, put it all together and shot a couple matches with it. Any targets that I missed were not the rifles fault. I've shot some pretty impressive groups with it at 50m. Since then, I moved up to a 1710 and a Leupold 25x, but for an entry level gun or loaner guns, I don't think it can get any better than the American for the money.

Yes I do.
And some success too.

American Rimfire shoots as accurately as I can aim it. Love mine.
