NRA Elephant Hunt

Post by atomicbrh »

I will try to limit my comments to one comment:
The hundreds of thousands of dollars that were used for this hunt could have been better spent on the shooting sports like silhouette, youth shooting programs/camps or even 2A lobbying. Otherwise the video could have a laundry list of "critical" comments. The video was never aired by the NRA for a television show.

There is so much wrong with that video it’s mind boggling. From the start Ole Wayne did not listen to the guide. How many times was he told to wait before the shot. Then firearm handling safety. Then poor shooting and multiple shots from a few feet away. Then someone else has to finish the job. The op is spot on. NRA money could have been put to better uses instead of this hunt.

Proof positive that Wayne should have been out years ago.

Thanks for the link xpilot. I filled in the appropriate blanks and sent it off and I hope every member of this forum does the same. It was a tough decision ( ) as I got a letter from Wayne today with my heavy card stock, Defender of Freedom certificate. For only $???<??? dollars I can be a proud member of the NRA Golden Eagles and place the color laser printed certificate next to my NRA Patron cert. I think I will pass as I am tired of funding a bunch of fat cats and allowing them to misdirect our moneys to support their lavish lifestyle rather than spending the funds we entrust to them to fight restrictive and unconstitutional gun laws.

It's past time. Wayne's got to go.

Good news Merlin. The new President of the NRA lives down the street from you and is on the board or was of PSC. He is an active IDPA IPSIC and all those running pistol games associations. You can actually talk to him at the range.....if you ever go to the range.....ever.... =)) that place we shoot at... =:) :ymalien:

I will wait and see if he actually pursues a worthwhile agenda before painting him with the same brush as our prior POS NRA president. I hope he does something besides eat cake and misspend our funds on extravagant worthless bullshit.
