Agreed....I think that the National gaurd, Army, Marines should patrol the border. Instead of being bored shitless at a reserve center doing nothing..and the coast gaurd and navy should patrol the waters and blow the bums out of the water. Thats getting my moneys worth out of the reserve force and they get real world trainning. Moderates simply will not support Palin as president or vice president. McCain became unelectable the instant she was chosen for VP so, yes, she cost him the election. It didn't look that way initially, but the more she talked... Compared to that, an illegal immigrant aunt trying to stay the US seemed like pretty light baggage.

Nope. I'm saying that hardcore right winger might get the nomination but won't get elected. I'm saying that we find someone who can do both and then push forward with an agenda of personal responsibility and real national security (actually secure the borders, deport illegal immigrants, _zero_ benefits or social programs for illegals, encourage immigration the legal way, etc.). Obama is alienating a LOT of moderates right now, and those moderates are the key to winning the election.
